From their pioneering style of production that introduced the world to the dark sounds of dubstep back in 2009, the boys from New Zealand have been honing and developing their craft ever since. With a string of successful releases now under their belt and a record deal inked with Ultra Music, Mt Eden treats us to another massive track. ‘Distance Kills’, a bass infused atmospheric banger, sees the duo undertake the services of Nolita Knights, whose melancholy vocals seamlessly inject the track with emotion and angst in equal measure. Add to this the lush pads, huge drum rolls and excitable melodic riffs, and we are left with a track brimming with texture that is sure to set the blogosphere alight.
With four US shows in the pipeline from coast to coast, as well as a collaborative project with Digital Farm Animals entitled ‘Stronger’ set to be released on Ultra Music next month, Mt Eden are on track to making 2015 their most successful year to date.
